Ensure you meet eligibility: Indian resident, 18+, VIII standard pass (for larger projects), and not previously benefited under PMRY/REGP or similar schemes
2. Prepare Documents

Educational certificate
Caste/special category proof (if applicable)
Detailed project report
Passport-size photograph
Bank passbook copy
3. Online Registration & Form Filling
Visit the official PMEGP portal and click “Apply for New Unit”
Fill in personal, business, bank, and project details accurately, then click ‘Save Application Data’
You’ll receive an applicant ID and password on your registered mobile
4. Upload Documents
Login using your credentials, upload all documents, and attach your project report
The portal validates completeness and issues a digital Score Card indicating eligibility
5. Submission & Tracking
Complete online submission and print the filled form
Submit the printed form along with attested copies of documents to your selected bank.
Monitor application status via the portal login
6. District Scrutiny & Bank Processing
District-level task force (DLTFC) reviews and either approves or rejects within 45 days—eligible projects go to the bank.
Bank appraises, sanctions loan, and forwards information to training centre.
7. EDP Training & Subsidy Disbursement
Undergo mandatory Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for 10–15 days
Submit EDP certificate; bank disburses loan, then subsidy (margin money) is transferred to 3‑year TDR
